Privacy Policy
How the desktop workflow handles content and account information, and how this public website works.
Effective date: October 24, 2026
1. Scope and current availability
This policy describes Video Localization Workbench, an independently developed Windows desktop application, and this public information website. The desktop application supports local video production, review, inventory, and scheduling. Official TikTok remote posting is not enabled for public use; account authorization and remote processing described below apply only if those features are configured and used.
This website provides information and email links. It does not include account registration, a media upload form, or embedded analytics scripts.
2. Information the application may process
Depending on the workflow in use, the desktop application may handle:
- Authorized source video and related media, identifiers, captions, translations, localized audio, subtitles, and candidate versions;
- Technical quality results, review decisions, file identities, and local audit records;
- Target-account identity metadata, assignment, time zone, schedule, publishing preferences, and local status;
- If official account authorization is enabled: platform account identifiers, granted permissions, authorization and expiry metadata, and protected credential references; and
- If a supported remote posting route is enabled and used: submission identifiers, processing results, published status, and error information.
3. How information is used
Information is used to keep a source work connected to its localized candidate, perform quality checks, route eligible content to the intended account, plan local publishing tasks, record operator decisions, recover interrupted work, and prevent duplicate actions. If official remote features are enabled, relevant account and posting information is used only for an authorized connection and supported publishing or status actions.
4. Local storage and security
Workflow records are primarily stored on the Windows workstation running the application. Where official authorization is enabled, usable account credentials are protected locally with Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI); ordinary workflow records hold references and status metadata rather than usable credential values. The application is designed to avoid writing usable credentials to ordinary files or application records.
The manual browser-assisted route uses a separate browser-managed profile for each target account. The application does not ask for TikTok passwords or inspect the contents of browser-managed sessions. Users complete platform security checks themselves.
6. Your choices and requests
You can use local features without enabling official TikTok account authorization. Where authorization has been granted, you can revoke it through TikTok's account settings. You can ask the workstation operator to review or remove locally stored information, subject to records needed for security, legal compliance, or operational audit.
7. Security limitations and updates
No device or transmission method is completely secure. Users are responsible for device access, system updates, and backups. We may revise this policy when the application, platform requirements, or applicable law changes, and will update the effective date.
